Street Exhibitions Across Southern UK Strengthen Public Support for Iran’s Fight Against Executions and for Democratic Change

On 25 July 2026, the Iranian Academic Association organized a series of street exhibitions across cities in southern United Kingdom to expose the Iranian regime’s escalating wave of executions and its systematic violations of human rights. The exhibitions attracted exceptional public attention, drawing hundreds of local residents and visitors who stopped to learn about the alarming human rights situation in Iran and express their solidarity with the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, democracy, and a secular republic.

Held in busy public locations, the exhibitions featured photographs, banners, information panels, and reports documenting the Iranian regime’s extensive repression. Visitors learned about the dramatic increase in executions, the persecution of political prisoners, arbitrary arrests, torture, and the systematic suppression of fundamental freedoms. Particular attention was given to the urgent plight of Iranian women, girls, and young prisoners currently facing execution following politically motivated and grossly unfair judicial proceedings.

Throughout the day, volunteers from the Iranian Academic Association spoke with members of the public, explaining the worsening human rights crisis in Iran and the urgent need for stronger international action. Many visitors were shocked by the scale of the executions and expressed admiration for the courage of the Iranian people who continue to resist repression despite enormous risks.

The exhibitions highlighted the Iranian people’s determination to establish a democratic future based on freedom, equality, human rights, the rule of law, and a secular republic. Organizers emphasized that the Iranian people are seeking democratic change through their own struggle and deserve the active support of the international community.

One of the central features of the exhibitions was a public petition calling on the United Nations, democratic governments, parliamentarians, and international human rights organizations to take immediate and concrete action to stop the executions, secure the release of political prisoners, and hold the Iranian regime accountable for its ongoing crimes against humanity. Large numbers of visitors signed the petitions, demonstrating widespread public support for stronger international measures in defence of the Iranian people.

Alongside the awareness campaign, the Iranian Academic Association also organized a fundraising initiative to support the legal campaign aimed at saving the lives of brave Iranian women, girls, and young prisoners currently facing execution. Organizers explained that international legal representation, documentation of human rights abuses, and sustained advocacy require financial support to increase pressure on the Iranian authorities and provide every possible opportunity to prevent further executions. Members of the public responded generously, recognizing that every contribution can help save lives.

The strong public participation throughout the exhibitions demonstrated growing international concern over the human rights crisis in Iran. Many visitors pledged to share information about the campaign with their friends, communities, and elected representatives, while others offered to remain actively involved in future awareness initiatives.

At the conclusion of the exhibitions, the Iranian Academic Association thanked everyone who visited the displays, signed the petitions, donated to the legal campaign, and stood alongside the people of Iran. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to continuing similar street exhibitions and public awareness events throughout the United Kingdom until executions are halted, political prisoners are released, and the Iranian people achieve freedom, democracy, and a secular republic.
