London Protest Outside the Iranian Regime’s Embassy Condemns Executions and Calls for Justice

On April 4, 2026, supporters of the Iranian opposition gathered outside the Iranian regime’s embassy in London in a powerful show of solidarity with political prisoners and the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom. The demonstration was organized by activists aligned with the Iranian opposition, representing a growing movement demanding democratic change in Iran.

The rally was held in response to the execution of six political prisoners—Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvar Kar, Babak Alipour, Pouya Ghobadi, Vahid Bani-Amerian, and Abolhassan Montazer—who were affiliated with the Iranian opposition. Protesters strongly condemned these executions as blatant violations of human rights and described them as a desperate attempt by the regime to silence dissent and intimidate the Iranian population.

Demonstrators held banners and pictures of the victims, chanting slogans against the regime and calling for justice. The atmosphere was charged with determination, as participants emphasized that the Iranian people’s desire for freedom cannot be crushed through repression and violence. Many speakers highlighted that such executions reveal the regime’s fear of the organized Iranian opposition and its expanding influence both inside and outside the country.

Speakers at the protest stressed that these acts echo the dark history of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners and warned that continued international inaction only emboldens the regime. They urged the UK government and the broader international community to take decisive measures, including holding Iranian officials accountable for crimes against humanity and recognizing the Iranian people’s right to resist oppression.

The London protest was part of a wider wave of global demonstrations, with similar rallies taking place across Europe and North America. These coordinated actions reflect increasing international awareness and support for the Iranian opposition and its vision for a democratic, secular, and non-nuclear republic.

Supporters reiterated that the solution to Iran’s ongoing crisis lies with its people and their organized resistance. They pointed to the Iranian opposition’s platform, which advocates for free elections, gender equality, and the separation of religion and state, as a viable and necessary alternative to the current regime.

The protest concluded with a renewed commitment to continue amplifying the voices of the victims and political prisoners. Participants vowed to persist in their efforts until justice is achieved and Iran is liberated from dictatorship.
