The exile TV station broadcasts evidence of Iranian human rights abuses
An Iranian journalist, targeted in a stabbing outside his London home following ‘heavy threats’ to his TV station, has shared a defiant hospital bed picture. Neighbors reported the attackers ‘laughed’ after the assault on Pouria Zeraati, carried out by a two-man team who fled in a waiting car in Wimbledon. Counter-terror police are investigating the attack on the prominent dissident journalist, who works for Iran International TV, a media outlet openly critical of Tehran’s regime.
It is believed his attackers were either agents working directly for the Iranian government or a criminal gang hired by Tehran targeted Mr Zeraati, who hosts the high-profile Last Word show in London.
