The Academic Association of Iranians has issued an official call inviting all freedom-loving individuals — particularly members of the Iranian diaspora, especially those residing in Europe — to attend the rally. The association stresses the importance of raising the voices of brave Iranian women, girls, and youth who have been at the forefront of recent demonstrations.
According to the organizers, the rally will focus on key principles including the protection of human rights, gender equality, separation of religion and state, abolition of the death penalty, and equal rights for ethnic minorities. They also underline that political change in Iran must be achieved by the Iranian people themselves, through their own national will.
Participants are expected to chant slogans rejecting dictatorship in all its forms and calling for freedom and the establishment of a democratic government in Iran. Among the anticipated chants is:
“No to Shah, No to Mullahs — Long Live Freedom in Iran and the Establishment of a Democratic Government.”
Berlin city authorities have stated that necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a large and peaceful gathering. Observers expect that the strong turnout of Iranians and their supporters will send a clear message of transnational solidarity with the Iranian people’s demands.
