Given that the Communication and Education Centre is “driven by a passionate commitment to fostering stronger, more informed, and connected communities. As a non-profit organization, our primary objective is to elevate communication for the betterment of public awareness and education within our society”.
As you know, the support given to the Iranian Academics Association by Parliamentarians across the UK is based upon your advocacy for the courageous Iranians who are striving for Iran to become a secular and democratic Republic, including the Iranian dissidents currently residing in Albania.
If you can therefore provide me with something I can share with colleagues and on my social media which is focused on this, I will be pleased to do so. In terms of fundraising for the Iranian Academics Association’s work championing the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic republic, you may also wish to maximise this, with added Gift Aid, by using and sharing a platform such as the following: Crowdfunding for Good from JustGiving .
Best wishes Mark

Dr. Tim Lockington
As a former NHS Hospital Doctor, I have had the privilege to work with some very special Iranian colleagues who remain strong in memory. I have recently had casework to support a safe home for an Iranian Christian family in exile in my Ward.
Stories are harrowing, shelter and hope always the goal but no-one chooses to be a refugee, homeland is where “the heart is” but to stay and stand up for social justice and the protected rights that we hold in Law requires a different courage.
Councillor Tim Lockington, Ipswich

Mayor of Swale
statement of continued support.
I am proud to reaffirm my support for the work of the communication and education centre and Iranian Academics Association, in the fight to save the lives of the brave Iranian women, girls and men who risked everything to stand up to their oppressors. It is key that those in the civilised world work together to end global oppression.
I joined the Liberal Democrats because I am an internationalist, I believe that in a global society we all have a part to play in looking out for each other. We must build and safeguard a fair, free and open society in which there is a balance between the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community in which no-one is enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. The women of Iran and their supporters in standing up to the oppressive regime personify these values. It is critical that work continues to save them, and to enable Iran once again become a free, democratic nation.
Thanks again for all you are doing.
I would encourage everyone who can to support your campaign and hope that one day Iran will return to the international fold and uphold the fundamental human rights that everyone is entitled to. The path to a stable, peaceful middle east, and wider world starts here.

I worked in Iran when it was ruled by the Shah. On the surface the cities felt like cities in Western European. However, scratch the surface and the secret police, the SAVAK, and their informers were everywhere. The Shah had absolute control; until he didn’t.
Sadly the Iranian people have ended up with something far worse. Yet they keep trying, most recently led mainly by women.
Robert.

The work to free the oppressed people of Iran is very valuable work.
My small donation I hope will enable the release of more unjustly imprisoned people in Iran.
Everyone in the world should be free.

He elected as a Bromley Councillor in 2022 he has been a strong advocate for local residents. He is a member of the Children’s Education and Families and Adult Care and Health committees where he ensures that the voices of some of the most vulnerable in the local community are heard, drawing on his years of professional experience.
I would gladly lend my name in supporting this cause. I stand in utter admiration of the resistance shown to an oppressive regime by our Iranian sisters.
In this age of fake news, culture wars and populist ideologies it is easy to forget the troubles of people far from our homes. Democracy is a fragile and precious thing and those countries that have enjoyed such freedoms for so long are in danger of squandering their privilege through the contempt that familiarity can breed. For nations who seek democracy and justice in the face of home grown demagogues and foreign backed tyranny we are still held as a beacon of what could be. The people of Iran deserve our support. Their cause is just, their wish for freedom is their right, their desire for democracy is a passion easily recognised by many of our European cousins who fought so long to achieve the same. David Afrash, his colleagues and the campaigners in Iran are doing much to give voice to the voiceless, hope for the oppressed, a beacon for those in darkness. They deserve and warrant our support.

We have just been highlighting International Women’s Day. This campaign is as important as any issues women around the world face.
The city of Preston has formally welcomed Councillor Philip Crowe as its 696th Mayor for 2024/2025, a position that dates back to 1327.
After joining the Territorial Army at age 17, Philip began a career at the British Aircraft Corporation – now British Aerospace (BAE) – on Strand Road in August 1974, where he joined the planning department. Matt Fisher, a Green Party councillor in St Albans
Incredible work – well done for your steadfast and selfless endeavors. I will share and promote wherever I can, to help put a stop to this dreadful regime.
I deeply appreciate your commitment to democracy, human rights, and equality in Iran. The bravery of Iranian women, girls, and men standing against oppression is truly inspiring, and I fully support the vital work of the Communication and Education Centre and the Iranian Academics Association in their fight for justice.
The crackdown on peaceful protests and the persecution of activists are unacceptable. As a member of the Green Party, I believe in a fair, free, and just society where no one is oppressed by poverty, ignorance, or conformity. The courage of those resisting tyranny in Iran embodies these values, and it is critical that we continue to support their struggle.
Ending global oppression requires collective action. I stand in solidarity with your efforts and encourage others to support your campaign. A free and democratic Iran is essential for a more peaceful and just world.
Thank you for all you are doing.

I am appalled by the human rights abuses committed by the Iranian regime. I support the Call for Justice campaign on behalf of the victims of forced disappearances and arbitrary executions, and I commend David Afrash for his relentless efforts to achieve justice.
